Kitchen So Ugly!

Image
After 3 years+, things start to fall apart, see the wall so ugly, the water leaking, the cabinet door also broken. Now looking for someone to help me fix, went to IKEA end up they use external contractor to do these stuff, they only sell the products, install or dismantle they outsource, pricing also not cheap, dismantle 4-7 feet cabinet $250, longer more expensive. If you interested you can ask them for a price list, they have a list of how much they charge, they don't make it openly available, but can ask for a copy. Just ask for onsite measurement, or dismantle charge. Anyway who got good company to recommend let me know, thanks. If can just fix the cabinet door and replace sink good enough, but if cannot repair have to change whole cabinet also can, just need to change bottom. Actually I prefer those integrated type of sink, no need to worry about the silicone wear off and leak water. Behind also leaking, so those type behind raised up is better. This one done by my fathe

KFC Double Down

One big piece of chicken wrapped with bacon, mayo and cheese, very sinful, very salty, good to try but cannot eat too much.

Home-cooked Nasi Lemak

Image
Wife cook, power. Actually nasi lemak quite similar to Thai food, a lot of Thai food also put coconut milk so nasi lemak was easy for wife to pick up, actually nasi lemak nothing much, just put coconut milk with rice, anyone also can cook, it's the chilli that is more tricky, different people cook different taste, some very thick and dry, some more saucy like my wife cook, I prefer saucy type.

Somebody Told Me No Smoking Within 5 Metres of Bus Stop

Na beh after work want to relax enjoy a smoke also difficult, was smoking near the bus stop, this guy told me no smoking within 5 metres of bus stop, I count from the shelter is definitely more than 5 metres, then he pointed to the bus stop pole just in front of me, kan nin na, like that also can, I also not sure actually count from where, just keep quiet and moved elsewhere to smoke as I don't want to argue. I thinking all this kind of no smoking rules really retarded, if really don't want people to smoke, why not just ban sales of tobacco, problem solved? No, government on one hand want to earn big bucks, the other hand want to come up with this kind of stupid rules to entertain the non-smokers. One pack you imagine they tax how much, cost price say $3 per pack, they tax probably $9, they earn $9 per pack, where to find such good deal. If they ban, I don't smoke, simple. And the non-smokers some also one kind, they think the smoke from tobacco is bad, imagine they s

Thai Yentafo @ NUH

Image
Today bring wife and baby to NUH so tried out this new eatery on the way. One bowl of yentafo is $8.50. The iced coffee is $3.50. Note that their price is inclusive of GST and no service charge, or probably they already lumped together but price is alright. Taste quite good, but not as good as those in Bangkok, not bad though, can try. I wanted the Thai iced milk tea but don't have so ended ordering the Thai iced coffee, also good.

Today Met a Hungry Ghost

Wife wanted to eat Korean BBQ so we went to the Ssikkek at Chinatown. Today don't know why so packed but I guess mostly are foreigners, looked like tour groups and foreign students. When I was trying to get some mashed potatoes, got this foreign woman, dressed quite formal, like a proper dress but kind of old fashioned type, like 1980s or 1990s kind of dress. She kept pushing me, as if the food will run away, I got fed up and turned around and told her to stop pushing. She just smiled, I don't even know if she understood me, or it's just perfectly normal to push people from where she came from, no apology, just a stupid smile, great. I know which country she is from, can tell from her language, but I don't want to name it, no point. My opinion is that if foreigners want to come, no problem at all, always welcome, but don't bring along bad habits, you can push people over food in your own country I don't care but here in Singapore people don't do that, so

Wow, Country Never Forget Me

Today received a letter about NS50 package, they giving out $100 voucher and a 1 year complimentary Safra membership for people who are serving or have served NS, really touched my heart. The Safra membership is not auto-renewable so it's a good thing, just try 1 year, no use just let it expire, nothing to lose. The really good thing is the $100 voucher, it's as good as giving out $100 cash because can use at a lot of places, Fairprice and Sheng Siong, so just imagine buying $100 of groceries, diapers, milk powder etc.
