Bought Logitech G915 TKL Keyboard (White)

Image
Have been following the keyboard on Lazada at around S$260+, been reading some really good reviews on it. Then on Monday I saw the keyboard going on offer at $$240.49 at the 11.11 sale, price is inclusive of delivery, so can't resist and quickly ordered one. It also goes well with my white  G304 and white NR200P computer casing, only my monitor is black though, hmm maybe should have also bought a white monitor instead but well, I'm still happy with my AOC monitor even though it is not white. Feels really premium, I think need some time to get used to it, but the feel is really great and it is not noisy, just like a normal keyboard, mine is the GL Tactile keycaps. And the Logitech G Hub is really cool, can control both my G304 mouse and this keyboard, can adjust the lighting too, shows battery too, fantastic. Should have bought this keyboard long ago, one keyboard to rule them all.

Bought VANKYO C751 Headphone

https://marrythaigirlsingapore.blogspot.com/2020/03/jbl-tune-500bt-arrived_7.html My JBL TUNE 500BT headphone spoil already after about one year of use. Problem is after power on, if shake a bit it will auto power off. The sound also a bit weird during online meeting, it will suddenly produce weird sounds, very disruptive. So I ordered the VANKYO C751 last Thursday and received it today, only 4 days. I paid S$73.36 which includes priority shipping. The new headphone feels solid, it covers my ears fully. Sound quality is good too. Only thing is Windows 10 doesn't show the battery indicator, but I guess this is Windows 10 problem. Now let's see how long this last. Update: The battery indicator in Windows 10 suddenly showed up, haha weird but it works. After a few days of use, find that the headphone feels much heavier, maybe need some getting used to.

JBL Tune 500BT Arrived!

Ordered the headphone last week through Amazon and got it today, finally can get rid of my wired headphone. My new headphone is really nice, I put it on and my surrounding noise sound less impactful, I think maybe this is what they mean by noise cancelling. The audio is also good, volume can go very high, at 34 I think it's quite loud already. But one thing I notice is when playing there is a tiny bit of lag, not that super noticeable but maybe I'm a bit more sensitive. The keys on the headphone is also very handy, one to increase volume, on to decrease and one to stop or play, it actually works with youtube so I can pause videos from a distance lol. Very good buy for S$70 I say, also next time just take the Amazon SGD price, pay by USD seems to end up a bit more.

I Wonder How Retail Shops Survive

Last weekend suddenly thought of getting a wireless headphone so that I don't disturb wife and baby, these days they sleep early because baby have to wake up early for school. So went into Challenger to casual browse, saw this JBL Tune 500BT headphone, looks very nice and surprisingly not few hundred dollars, usually branded wireless headphone S$300-S$400 or more also have, review also seems pretty good, selling for S$89.90 for non-member price, I don't have their membership by the way. Almost wanted to buy but when I did a quick check on Amazon, it was 39.95 USD, around S$67.XX after delivery charge, wow around S$20 difference. In the end never buy from Challenger, thought of going home then order online. So today bought at Amazon, including expedited delivery is S$69.49, think next week will receive. I also went to Lazada, some even selling for S$55.00 but ships from overseas, most probably is used, some is S$69, I guess those is they resell from Amazon, then some is S$

Update on IKEA Markus Swivel Chair

Previous post. After trying out this chair for the past week, I found that this chair is really good for people like me with lower back pain, the lumbar support really helps, I always thought of it as a gimmick. But then even with a good chair, sitting posture is still very important, that explains why old people like to tell youngsters to sit upright, it is because if you don't maintain a good posture, you will probably start to get lower back pain by your 20s. And always invest in a good chair and a good bed, although good ones are more expensive, it will be worth it, bad chair or bed can lead to back problems. And Happy Labour Day!

IKEA Markus Swivel Chair S$249

Decided to get a proper chair instead of the lousy chair which I think is causing my lower back to ache. This chair feels very comfortable, hope my back gets better.

Bought LD 10 Packs at Sheng Siong

Image
One packet is $11.80, if buy 10 is $11.40 per pack. The discount plus the POSB Everyday Card 5% rebate one pack is about $10.8275. At convenience store one pack I think is around $11.20 to $11.30.

Uniqlo Online Store

Today I found that they have an online store, and free delivery for orders above $60. So I ordered two shorts for myself and two bras for my wife. I think Uniqlo is unique as in they have no shortage of customers because their products are very high quality, affordable and welcomed by different demographics, they probably came up with an online store to help with the crowds, because almost every time I went to their store it's packed. Some retail shops open online store because they don't have the crowd so going online is one way for them to stay alive. IKEA is another one, they only have two stores in SG, even weekdays you can see a crowd, especially at their restaurant which serves quality food at affordable prices.

Called FairPrice On Today

I told them about my missing items for the order yesterday  and also about the stolen trolley which the delivery guy told me, and that he will "settle" with me today, they say they will check and call me back. So after a while they call me back and told me they cannot find any arrangement which the delivery guy told me about. Ok. Then they say they will send it to me this coming Tuesday. I've ordered online so many times at other websites such as lazada, qoo10, zalora, kfc and etc and this is the first time I encountered so much drama, yeah they were late once in a while but it's ok, at least they fulfilled the order (except kfc, twice they sent order with missing items but at least no drama, they just resend immediately). I am never going to order from FairPrice On again, absolutely terrible experience. If they cannot honour their agreement, I wonder how they manage to grow so big in SG, NTUC is such a big organisation here in SG and something so simple as hom

Fairprice On Really Turn Me Off

My first experience ordering from FairPrice On they were 35 minutes late, 35 minutes is not a very long time so I just keep quiet, those foodpanda or kfc guys also sometimes late so quite normal to me. But my second time ordering from them yesterday, supposed to send to me today between 6-8pm, until 10pm no sight of the delivery. Then finally at around 10:15pm the driver called my wife say he send now, end up out of 8 ordered items he sent only 4, the other 4 he will send tomorrow. Like that also can!?! The driver came up to my house, whole body wet like drenched in the rain but today not raining?? In fact today is a super hot day. So I asked him what happened, he told me somebody stole his trolley so he had to carry everything by hand, I turned and looked at my wife in disbelief. Then I checked the items, out of 8 items 4 missing, I told him and he say he go back his van and find, I looked at my wife in disbelief again. So after a while he didn't come back, I went down

Fairprice Delivered to My Home

So yesterday I ordered some groceries  online , today they sent it over at around 8:35 PM, which was 35 minutes later than the scheduled 6-8 PM, but it's ok, it's just groceries so nothing time critical, anyway 35 minutes is not really a lot of time. Nowadays so convenient, can order just about anything online and have it sent to doorstep, especially groceries they have free delivery for orders over certain amount, Fairprice is $59 so it's really easy to buy over that amount. I will definitely buy from Fairprice online again ;)

"FairPrice On" Easy to Use

Image
FairPrice online website updated, seems to have much more items and very easy to use, as good as shopping at the retail shop. So I signed up for an account, they gave $10 discount voucher, I bought some stuff $98.10 so only have to pay $88.10. The really good thing is today order tomorrow can deliver, and they have several time slots to choose from, from morning 9am all the way to 10pm. And also delivery is free for orders over $59. I think order direct from FairPrice cannot go wrong, best is not go through that stupid dishonestbee who ruined my pizza.

Bought Bak Kwa 500g for $18 at Fragrance

Today went to Chinatown, so crowded and so many new year goods stalls, selling so many new products that I have never seen before. If want to buy anything now not good time to go, too freaking crowded plus the hot weather really head pain. Anyway didn't buy much, actually also didn't want to go through all that stalls but just happened to have lunch at Yum Cha restaurant so have to go through there. Want to eat bak kwa now is good time before they increase the price. Fragrance signature bak kwa 500g for $27, the trimmed off ones or rather less good looking ones they selling 500g for $18, actually it's the same thing just that signature is nice looking square so better for giving to people as gift, but for me eat at home make no sense to pay extra $9 just for good looking, got to cut it anyway lol.

Received $100 Sheng Siong Voucher

Image
Checked my mailbox got a letter from them, just need to bring to the supermarket and show ID card. $100 voucher as good as cash because can buy groceries, very useful. On the way there also noticed that the train station is closed in the day, first time see such a scene, damn jia lat now.

Spent My $100 NS50 Vouchers at Sheng Siong

Image
All spent on everyday stuff, diapers, milk powder, groceries, detergent and etc. The vouchers really helpful if spent on the right stuff. Also saw this new otah flavoured luncheon meat, bought one to try. One for $3.

Feels Better, Went Shopping

Image
My rashes are mostly gone, don't feel super itchy now, I think it is the heat. I tried using Dove shower foam and put on palmer's cocoa butter cream, it actually helps with the itch, so most likely it is dry skin. I also eat fish oil, drink prune juice to try to clean out whatever crap is in my body, somehow now feels better. So today went to eat my favourite curry chicken at Bao Today. After that bought a 2-in-1 vaccum cleaner, it is the standing type, can also remove and become a hand-held, good for cleaning those smaller areas, especially mattress and sofa because baby like to eat and drop everywhere. Bought for $225 at Gain City. The suction very powerful, damn useful.

Just Another Weekend

Image
Went shopping with wife and baby, found this store at Anchorpoint where they sell baby products. They have this high-definition TV with blu-ray quality cartoon, really great idea, can keep the kids occupied while we do our shopping. Kids when they get around age 2+, start to get restless, everything must touch, everywhere must explore, so inquisitive, sometimes can keep crying and throwing tantrum if they get fixated on something, such as a toy, a ride or a cute looking chocolate, especially that damn kinder bueno egg. Wonder how was I behaving when I was her age.. Anyway bought some BBQ ribs and huge dogs at cold storage, quite nice, not the best but ok for the price.

Local Radio DJ at Anchorpoint

Image
Look at the crowd... it's a very quiet mall so kind of expected lol. Baby sneaked in for a photo ;)

Went to Big Box Again

Image
They have quite a selection of curious products, see the spaghetti in a jar. I like this mall because it is very spacious and no crowd.

Went to Big Box

Image
This is a damn huge mall, ultra spacious, not crowded, not sure whether it is the same during normal days but today a bit quiet. They also have a hyper-market, the prices seems lower than Fairprice or Sheng Siong, some of their brands I never see before, I think all Malaysia products. Spacious lift, spacious toilet, clean toilet, love this place, definitely in my to-go list ;)
