Most Effective Non-Prescription Cough Syrup

Remember I said I was sick and my wife also fell sick, we recovered from the flu and fever but our cough persisted, then I bought a big bottle of Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa and consumed for a few days but didn't get better, finally I decided to try Robitussin Ex syrup, I got better after 2 sips, my wife also got better. One bottle costs $8.60 at Guardian.

Next time I'll just buy this and nothing else, the Nin Jiom also not cheap but not effective, I think it's more of a health supplement than cough medicine.
